Chinese New Year is a festival for our families. Our Chinese families get together and enjoy family time.  Wherever they are, people come home to celebrate  the festival with their families. The New Year's Eve dinner is called "reunion dinner", and is believed to be the most important meal of the year.  This year our school celebrated the Chinese New Year in many different fun  ways. It was a great day and we all had so much fun. We dressed up, designed great artwork and dressed up in our fabulous costumes. What a great day!

team work.jpg

We have teams in Room 15 and we think that this is a really effective way to help us all make a huge effort to learn in school, stay on task, complete our work, and help us to be great friends to each other.  Our teams work together, encouraging each other to be better than before.  At the end of the week on Friday, the group with the most points earns a reward.  This week the group of the week was: For our reward, we chose to play table tennis.

We have been working on individual value shields which represent four values that are important to each of us. For example Family, Heritage, Culture, etc. We have used graphic images on our shields to show this.
